New Stuff

Here is a collection of the latest puzzles I've released, and maybe even some I haven't shown anywhere else yet. Also the latest puzzles to hit mass production. Check back here often!

Pentacopter 15

Pentacopter 15

Pentacopter 15 is based on a pentagonal prism. The curvy cuts combined with the pillowed shape eliminates several parts and allows the geometry to be simplified to it's essence. Pentacopter 15 has fifteen axes, one at every edge. Moves on these axes can be combined in any order, if bandaging allows.

Collider-10

Collider-10

Collider-10 is a relatively shallow cut face-turning pentagonal dipyramid. In addition, curved cuts have been used to simplify the puzzle at the polar vertices. While this eliminates many pieces that would otherwise appear, it also creates quite a bit of overhang bandaging, making for a very tricky puzzle.

Purchase Collider-10 in my i.materialise shop.

Whirlpool Cube Plus

Whirlpool Cube Plus

Whirlpool Cube Plus is a close cousin of my previous Andromeda Cube Plus. The Whirlpool Cube Plus uses conic cuts instead of the spherical cuts of the Andromeda Cube. This allows opposite axes on the same face to turn simultaneously due to the elimination of overhang bandaging. The "Plus" cuts unbandage the puzzle further.

Whirlpool Cube

Whirpool Cube

Whirlpool Cube is a close cousin of my previous Andromeda Cube. The Whirlpool Cube uses conic cuts instead of the spherical cuts of the Andromeda Cube. This allows opposite axes on the same face to turn simultaneously due to the elimination of overhang bandaging.

Spiral Fracture-12

Spiral Fracture-12

Spiral Fracture-12 is based on my Fracture-12 puzzle, but with an additional twist. With Spiral Fracture-12, 45 degree turns can be used, allowing face and edge pieces to exchange places. This is achieved through the use of curved slices. The curved cuts create the unique pattern of gaps between the stickers.

Andromeda Dodecahedron Plus

Andromeda Dodecahedron Plus

Andromeda Dodecahedron Unbandaged is a puzzle based on the pentagonal hexecontahedron. The unbandaging allows the pieces near the face centers to exchange places with the corners of the puzzle. Andromeda Dodecahedron Plus is a jumbling-only puzzle with 60 axes of rotation, making it a beast to solve.

Diamond Jubilee

Diamond Jubilee

Diamond Jubilee is based on the deltoidal hexecontahedron. Diamond Jubilee is a jumbling only puzzle, very similar to my Celtic Dodecahedron. However, with Diamond Jubilee the cuts overlap at the five way corners, creating many more pieces to scramble.

Buy Diamond Jubilee from my i.materialise shop: Part A and Part B. You must buy both for a complete puzzle!

Celtic Dodecahedron

Celtic Dodecahedron

Celtic Dodecahedron is a puzzle based on the geometry of the deltoidal hexecontahedron. I called it the Celtic Dodecahedron to highlight it's relationship to Eitan Cher's beautiful Celtic Cube, which is based on the deltiodal icositetrahedron. Celtic Dodecahedron is a jumbling puzzle with 60 axes of rotation.

LunaMinx

LunaMinx

LunaMinx is based on an alternate sweet spot for the pentagonal trapezohedron. This alternate geometry was discovered after the development of the GallaTrap puzzle. Matt Galla confirmed the ability of the LunaMinx to scramble, and helped name the new puzzle. Curved cuts were used in order to give all pieces a robust connection to the mechanism.

Collider-10 Unbandaged

Collider-10 Unbandaged

Collider-10 Unbandaged is a new version of my previous Collider-10 puzzle, but with stored cuts that allow more freedom of movement. There is still quite a bit of bandaging, but not nearly so much as with the original puzzle. This one really gets crazy looking when fully scrambled!

Andromeda Cube Mass Produced

Andromeda Cube Mass Produced

The Andromeda Cube has been beautifully mass produced by Lanlan, and is now available to order. The production version is smaller than my original 3D printed model, and is actually the same 57mm size as a standard cube. But don't worry, they've packed all the same 24 axis jumbling madness into that space!

Buy the Lanlan mass produced version at Cubezz.

Super Six Spot

Super Six Spot

Super Six Spot is a DIY sticker variant of the mass produced Six Spot Cube. The stickers give the cube a fun new challenge, as the center spots need to be oriented correctly. To make this variant, purchase the stickerless version of the Six Spot Cube, then order stickers using the link below. Two different sticker styles are available.

LunaCrystal

LunaCrystal

LunaCrystal is based on an alternate sweet spot for the pentagonal trapezohedron. This puzzle is slightly deeper cut than the previous LunaMinx. Curved cuts are still used in order to allow the new "crystal" edges to remain in contact with the core of the puzzle in mid-turn. Like its predecessor, LunaCrystal can scramble quite thoroughly, and has a very unusual 180 degree jumbling move!
